From this poster, I gather that the Guy Airing Out His Crotch is a universal subway phenomenon.
Maybe you were away when they were up, but the tone of the yellow poster campaign has changed from "don't" to "do". This one is a lot easier to understand than the first couple "mata yarou/ do it again" posters.
These posters are great, No Houdini's allowed :-)
